Me

My name is Lucas Dorward. I'm a Ventura based photographer and designer, but in real life I help manage a french-cajun bistro/bakery/coffee shop in a lovely little place called Santa Paula, CA.

I want to make it known that I don’t consider myself a professional by any means. I have never taken a photography class. I’ve not gone to school or received any training in design or advertising. What I do have is what I humbly call good instincts. I know what I want a final product to look like and I do what I can to get it there, usually successfully. I'm confident that I have a certain style, color palate, and mood that I give to my work. A lot of which is contributed to my love of 60‘s and 70‘s design, photo quality, coloring. Also, a big chunk of credit goes to Scott Hansen (ISO50) whose music and design has inspired the color palate and mood of much of my work.
